Videography Services

Based in Pukekohe and working across Auckland, I provide freelance videography for events, corporate projects, sports, and community initiatives. Whether you need full production or just a sharp highlight reel, I’ll help bring your story to life on screen.

Chemist Warehouse

Chemist Warehouse raises a huge amount of money every year at Super Rugby games for local charities. I was asked to capture charity round game activations and create several videos for each of the partners. This video is the summary of the charity round.

Westpac NZ

As a videographer I've really enjoyed working on an ongoing basis with Westpac and their ambassadors. This video captures the Westpac Chopper Ride 2025 event, which featured 100 riders riding from Invercargill to Queenstown.

Netball New Zealand

For several years Netball New Zealand has been a regular client of mine, and I'm proud of the many hours of content we've created together that tell their stories and promote their sport.

TOTAL SPORT

The Total Sport team put on incredible events in stunning locations, and it was such a pleasure to do a season of work with them to promote their events and tell the story of their organisation.

Rūnā Sailing Experience

It was a great day out on the water filming for Yachting New Zealand. They asked me to create a video to demonstrate what the day would be like for school kids and teachers in the Rūnā programme, so that they could promote it to schools.

Professional Video Editing

I specialise in delivering high-quality editing and storytelling, in all formats, shapes, and sizes. Many of my clients simply send through raw footage and say, “Hey Dave, can you do something with this?” — and I love turning that into something they’re genuinely proud of.
Whether it's event coverage, branded content, or social media edits, I shape footage into sharp, engaging stories that connect with your audience.

A New Zealand Food Story

For several seasons now, I've edited short videos for each commercial partner of A New Zealand Food Story from the shows raw files. This is just one example, which was produced for Matangi Beef in Season Four.

Dave's Blog

How much does a videographer cost?

Some people are surprised to see that I list my rates publicly on my website. The main reason? It saves everyone time.
Many clients looking for a videographer just want a rough idea of what their project might cost. By showing my pricing upfront, they can quickly decide if it fits their budget — and often go ahead and book without needing a detailed written quote. It keeps the process simple, especially for smaller corporate video or promotional content jobs.

There’s also a big honesty factor here. I’ve worked in video production for a while now, and I’ve seen how pricing can vary depending on who the client is. Personally, I prefer to keep things transparent. I charge consistent, fair rates — whether it’s for a small business, agency, or larger organisation. No surprises.
Some say you shouldn't list prices because there's always someone who’ll undercut you. Maybe — but I believe you get what you pay for. If you're investing in professional video production, it's worth doing it properly, with someone who values quality and consistency.

Behind This Season’s TVNZ Netball Coverage

This season of the ANZ Premiership saw Saturday games broadcast on TVNZ+ and Sunday/Monday games on Sky Sport. I was lucky enough to be involved on both sides — filming and editing build-up content for TVNZ, and operating instant replays on EVS in the broadcast trucks for matches in Auckland and Tauranga.
Most of the content for the TVNZ build-ups was shot over just two days at a preseason tournament in Ōtaki. We managed to capture enough material during that shoot to carry us right through to Round 10 — talk about getting the most out of a single production!
As always, it was a pleasure working with Netball New Zealand and the athletes. The players are always great to work with — relaxed, up for a laugh, and comfortable in front of the camera — which makes for genuinely fun and engaging content.
It’s been another awesome season working behind the scenes on the netball coverage, and I’m proud to have played a small part in bringing the action to fans around the country.

CAM ONE APP

I’m always impressed by people who create something from the ground up. Developing a new product takes dedication and persistence. My friend Pete has been working steadily for years on his app, camone.app, aiming to break into the web streaming market.
I was happy to help by producing a video that clearly explains what the app does and how it works — a key tool to boost his web sales.
When people consider buying an app, they want to know they’re making a smart choice. That’s why it’s important to show customers exactly what the product offers and how it functions. It was rewarding to be part of Pete’s journey and help showcase his app to a wider audience. I’m hoping he cracks it, big time!

Bringing a Local Wellness Studio to Life with Video

A friend recently got in touch for help promoting her health and well-being studio, Living Being Well, based in Pukekohe, Auckland. She’d just taken over the business and wanted some videos to reach new clients — but wasn’t sure what she needed or where to start.
We talked it through and came up with a plan that made the most of a half-day shoot.
In that one session, we created five videos:
* One for her website, introducing the business
* Four short videos for social media, showing her key services — red-light therapy, infrared sauna, Vibra-Train, and sunbeds
She also got stills pulled from the footage and extra B-roll she can use for other marketing later on.
The shoot went smoothly, and she was really happy with the results. It made a big difference seeing her business represented clearly and professionally online. And for services like these, it helps a lot when people can see what to expect before they book.
Simple shoot, solid outcome — a great example of how video can help small businesses connect with their audience.
